Since joining L’école du coeur, I’ve been able to learn the rules and regulations that govern life in society.

I have more courage to speak up and share my opinions without being shy or afraid.

I’ve learnt more than just lessons, languages or other subjects from my education, I also learnt mutual respect, respect for time, good behaviour, helping each other.

I learnt English, French and informatic.

I’ve become more open-minded, and more curious to learn more. This has had a positive impact on my work at the school, where the atmosphere is good, the colleagues are great and I enjoy working at L’école du Coeur.

Now I am improving my guitar skill by giving lessons to the students who are keen on music.

Joining the association has brought about a lot of changes in my life. I have hope for my future, which seemed impossible before. I’m learning new things every day, and I’ve started to have dreams that I hope will one day come true. I have more confidence in myself now. The education I’m getting gives me hope and opens my eyes to what I can achieve; I’m about to do my first national exam and I’m very proud of that. I have the hope and the will to go further in my education. Every day is a better day since I joined the association. I’m grateful to the members of the association for all their love and effort. The disciplines they have introduced have helped me not only within the association but also in my daily life, to have respect for myself and others.

I learnt a lot of things at L’école du Coeur: reading, writing French and English; but I also learn how to live in a community, at work; how to behave with others; how to have mutual respect; how to work in a team; it was beneficial for me because it was the first time I had to learn how to behave in a community. “L’école du Coeur” is more than school where you learn different subjects, it’s school of life.

I’m a student but also a teacher, so I have the advantages of both.

As a student, I take English classes which are really useful for me, I love learning a new language and I know that later on it will open doors for me.

As a teacher, I help students with their learning but it also gives me the opportunity to grow with them, and it gives me pleasure to share the little knowledge I have.

Since I joined “L’Ecole du Coeur”, I can assure you that my life has changed. The benefits I’ve received from this school have changed my life, my way of thinking and even my way of living. What I’ve received and felt since I joined “L’Ecole du Coeur”: I’ve received knowledge, I’ve received help not only financial but also moral support and food. I’ve felt parental love, there have been corrections and disciplines, but always done with love.  “L’Ecole du Coeur” has helped me in my way of thinking, I have more self-confidence than before and I’ve learnt a lot of things. I’d like to thank “L’Ecole du Coeur” because without it I’d be just another young girl washing other people’s clothes for a living. Now I can hope for brighter future thanks to education.

The benefits I’ve been able to reap over the last year at the “L’école du Coeur” are quite indescribable. I could never have imagined that I’d end up in this position a year ago. I have to admit that I was in a terrible situation in my personal life. I thought my life would deteriorate after that. But, thanks to this school, I got a new lease of life. On the contrary, it wasn’t the end of an era, but the beginning of a wonderful adventure that surprised me at every stage. It allowed me to discover hidden talents. I never thought I’d be capable of managing or even educating teenagers or elderly people in difficulty. But it seemed like a no-objection thing to do, and it also gave me hope for the future. Discovering each story of the members of this school made me realise that I could contribute to changing their lives instead of feeling sorry for myself. A lot has happened since then. I’ve been able to gain the trust of my students, even if it hasn’t been easy. In fact, we’ve even been able to forge a bond and I’m honoured by that, because they need so much for someone to believe in them. So, this school is not just a simple establishment, it represents hope for most of its members, hope for a better future.

 

I joined « L’Ecole du cœur » in 2021. It’s been a new start for me, and I’ve completely changed direction. I used to work in tourism, but what I’m doing now with “L’Ecole du cœur” is a thousand times more rewarding.

Working in the social sector, being in contact with people who are thirsty for knowledge and eager for hope, opens my eyes to what’s really important in life: people.

Being part of the association has taught me human and social values, where the individual is more important than anything else, especially when you see the conditions in which some people live, but that doesn’t stop them from dreaming.

I’m grateful to be part of this association, I never stop learning with the other members, seeing them progress motivates me even more and together we build the future not only with hope but with work and love.

Since joining the association as an English teacher, I’ve grown with the students, gained more experience and teaching has strengthened my English language skills as well as my human skills. Seeing the students’ progress motivates me and makes me happy. The atmosphere is one of mutual respect. I also have the opportunity to continue my studies alongside my teaching, which is a great advantage for me. I share my knowledge with the students but I also receive it within the association.

I’m happy to be part of the association and to make my contribution to ensuring a better future for each member.
